The Auditorium at the Benton Public Utilities Building has been reserved all weekend.  No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium but we will have a table set up in the lobby for snacks.  So bring your favorite munchies to share and spend the weekend working on unfinished quilts or Christmas presents.  No need to sign up - just SHOW UP!.

Carole will have 4 appliqué patterns for you to choose from.  Two are for beginners and two are for the more experienced or ambitious student.  While the patterns are different, the techniques are the same.  You won’t finish your piece in class, but you will get a good start on the blocks and feel comfortable with appliqué when you leave.   You will learn to prepare and cut the
pieces of the appliqués and how to do perfect appliqué stitches.  Carole will teach to make bias strips on the sewing machine and press them in place for the vines.

At this time we are not sure how much her classes will be, since we need to factor in the cost of bringing her from Australia (shared among several guilds).  Also, we are still polling people on what classes they would like to take.  However, we have had numerous inquiries from quilters around the Pacific Northwest about taking a class with her.  So if you are interested in taking one of her classes, I am asking you to send me a $25 REFUNDABLE deposit.  Once we decide on the classes and the cost of the class per day, we will contact those people who have sent in deposits in the order in which the deposits were received.  They will have the opportunity to pick the class they want, or chose to have their deposit check refunded if they wish. After confirmation on the name of the workshop offered and the cost, the normal guild policy of no refund of deposit 60 Days or Less Before the Class will be in effect.
